Finance Finland conciders that in the light of the introduction of the GloBE rules, we welcome the initiative of reconsidering the ATAD framework for the following reasons: - Regulatory overlap: Both ATAD and GloBE address similar issues, such as CFC rules, hybrid mismatches and general anti-abuse measures. This overlap creates a risk of double regulation, leading to increased administrative burdens for businesses operating within EU. - GloBE introduction and ATADs relevance: GloBEs introduction of a global minimum, tax rate directly addresses the core objectives of ATAD, such as preventing profit shifting to low-tax jurisdictions. With GloBE in place, ATADs provisions may become redundant.…
