The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) would like to provide the following comments with a distinction between its assessment of DAC 1-5 on the one hand, and DAC 6 on the other hand. The purpose of DAC 1-5 is essentially to regulate administrative cooperation between the tax authorities of the Member States in the area of direct taxation and to enable requests for official investigations in other Member States.
