TenneT welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the call for evidence regarding the simplification of administrative burdens in environmental legislation. In order to increase Europes competitiveness, lower energy system costs and reach the EUs climate goals, electricity infrastructure expansion needs to accelerate. As an international electricity TSO, TenneT's response covers two national case studies, based on experiences in the Netherlands and Germany. In the attached document, we propose targeted legal amendments to four EU directives and one regulation.
