AS ČR zastupuje obchodníky se starožitnostmi, soukromé galerie, antikvariáty, umělecké aukční síně a soukromé sběratele, znalce a restaurátory. Naprostá většina členů AS ČR jsou mikropodniky s jedním či několika zaměstnanci. Hlavním problémem této nové legislativy je to, že mikropodniky, které posílají několik balíků ročně musí splňovat stejné striktní požadavky jako firmy, které na trh dodávají obrovské množství balíků. Naši členové posílají zpravidla velmi specifické, často křehké a hodnotné předměty, počet balíků v každém jednom roce se velmi liší a liší se i členské země, do kterých jsou balíky posílány. Czech Antique Dealers Association is concerned with a wide range of policy issues and legislation affecting the art and antiques trade on national and international - mainly EU level. Amongst the most relevant for AS CR (and for CINOA - see heading 12) are: the EC Droit de Suite (Artist's Resale Right) Directive, the EC Directive on Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights, the Return of Cultural Goods Directive, VAT and taxation matters, the Consumer Rights Directive, CITES and related wildlife trade regulations, the EU Regulation on the Import of Cultural Goods, anti-money laundering (AML) legislation, sanctions and trade restrictions, customs procedures, sustainability and environmental regulations, digital and e-commerce policies, intellectual property rights, due diligence and provenance requirements, cultural heritage protection laws, restitution and repatriation issues, and EU cultural policy initiatives such as the European Cultural Compass, the EU Action Plan against the Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Goods, and other measures aimed at strengthening the protection, circulation, and lawful trade of cultural property within Europe and internationally.
