EPRO is an association of national experts working towards increased circularity. Members comprise of PROs, national plastic collection organisations, and national plastics circularity bodies. EPRO is fully supportive of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation which provides a range of legislative targets that, when in effect, will help drive circularity by supporting investment, provide financial support for the recycling supply chain, and demand drivers for the use of recycled content. However, in some areas the PPWR could be simplified in ways that reduce administrative burden and costs, and at the same time increase the likelihood of the policy objectives being met. Please see…

For example, policy such as the European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy and Circular Economy Action Plan. Also legislation including the Waste Framework Directive (2008/98), Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (2025/40), Single Use Plastics Directive (2019/904) and Waste Shipment Regulations (2024/1157).
